Enabling validation of Dataflow computing models in the Software 2.0 Era
Tokyo, Oct. 27th, 2022— SambaNova Systems, the company delivering the industry’s only comprehensive software, hardware, and solutions platform to run Artificial Intelligence (AI), deep learning, and foundation model workloads, announces its opening the SambaNova Tokyo Technology Center, a dataflow computing verification facility in the Tokyo region, enabling customers to verify their system development for the Software 2.0 era.
Modern AI, which is Software 2.0, is a dataflow graph with neural net weights moving and updating, and Software 2.0 is a dataflow problem. However, dataflow problems were computed using conventional CPUs and GPUs, which were less efficient, and on the other hand, there was no facility that had access to dataflow computers that could efficiently solve the dataflow problems.
