OTP Bank Selects SambaNova Systems to Build Europe’s Fastest AI Supercomputer

Today we announced that OTP Group, the leading banking group in Central and Eastern Europe, is partnering with SambaNova to build the fastest AI supercomputer in Europe. With this initiative— a global first— the bank is leapfrogging Wall Street and Western European competitors in the global AI race.

This partnership signals that rapid transformation with AI is upon us and this initiative— an alignment across tech, banking and government— positions SambaNova, OTP Group and the Ministry for Innovation and Technology (ITM) of Hungary as today’s AI leaders.

OTP Bank is planning to deploy the AI supercomputer in the next 100 days. With the technology in place, the Bank’s 17 million customers will experience ultra-fast, personalized AI-based financial services; the deployment will showcase what’s possible with advanced AI and what banking will look like in the future.
