SambaNova is a resource provider for the NAIRR pilot, volunteering our leading-edge AI technology to further research into safe, secure and trustworthy AI for the public benefit.

Example Uses

Generative AI represents one of the most transformative shifts in the scientific discovery process in recent years. This technology holds the promise of serving as a comprehensive science assistant, capable of aiding in the formulation of plausible hypotheses, streamlining the design of experiments, autonomously conducting experiments, analyzing outcomes, and even drafting research papers.

SambaNova is at the forefront of this revolution, providing researchers with a suite of capabilities to harness the potential of Generative AI by enabling projects such as:

  • Designing reasoning and multi-turn inference applications
  • Formulating experiments that leverage advanced capabilities including function calling to external tools and agents, audio transcription or image interpretation
  • Comparing and evaluating model capabilities for science domain usage
  • Developing scientific and multimodal knowledge retrieval systems

Resources Available

SambaNova Cloud

Advance your research using leading open-source LLM and multimodal models such as the Llama, DeepSeek, Tulu and Qwen families.

SambaNova Cloud offers:

  • Very high performance model inference, up to 10x faster than GPU clouds
  • Browser-based playground and OpenAI compatible API
  • AI Starter Kits and source code for app development
  • User training and support for your project

After NAIRR approval is received, researchers will create a SambaNova Cloud account and we will provide cloud credits to draw on.

SambaNova Suite

SambaNova Suite provides a larger model catalogue, support for custom checkpoints or fine-tuning models with datasets for projects that require capabilities beyond our cloud option.

SambaNova Suite offers:

  • Bring your data and fine-tune models from our supported model types
  • Load compatible checkpoints from outside sources
  • Manage a unique catalogue of models for project needs
  • User training and support for your project

After NAIRR approval is received, access will be provided to a system hosted in our secure environment. Please note that the pool of resources available for this service is limited.
